Year 3 - Tremors

Year 3 had a wonderful wow day on Tuesday exploring rocks as part of their new topic 'Tremors!'. We were joined by an expert geologist for the day and children completed three rock activities. They were full of enthusiasm as they turned into 'Rock Explorers' digging for different types of rock on our school field. Next, they tested different rock properties in their 'Rock Lab' session before learning about types and transition in a 'Rock Recycle' session. The children were very animated and we definitely saw some future geologists and volcanologists in the making.
