Remote learning for all pupils will begin on Wednesday 6th January.
It is expected that all pupils will participate and registers will be recorded morning and afternoon as well as pupil’s work. Each day’s work will be published by 8.30am and should ideally, where possible be handed in by 3.30pm.
We have staggered the live sessions to support families with siblings however we are aware that this may still clash with other things and therefore all live sessions will be recorded and available to watch back.
|AM Session||Optional Catch-up||PM Session|
If you have any queries or need any assistance please contact the school office.
Children must wear suitable clothing (e.g. no pyjamas etc.).
Pupil devices used should be in appropriate areas, for example, not in bedrooms; and where possible be against a neutral background.
The same expectations apply for remote sessions and conversations as normal school conduct.
The parent or carer must make sure other members of the household are aware the video call is happening – conversations and comments can be heard if your child’s microphone is on.
To make it easier for everyone to take part the pupils’ microphones will be kept on mute until they are invited to comment by their teacher.
Language must be appropriate, including any family members in the background.
Sessions will be recorded to enable pupils that have not been able to join live can watch them later. They are stored securely, will not be made public and will be deleted once not longer required
Children taking part will be able to be seen by the teacher and other pupils (and members of their household) that are part of the conversation.
If pupils should only use the Chat facility to type in their response or a suitable question – this is not for chatting between pupils and the language should be appropriate.
Pupils or adults will not record or take photos of other children or teachers during group sessions.
Children should interact patiently and respectfully with teachers and peers. It may take a little longer during the first couple of sessions for everyone to get used to the technology.
